Eternal Healing

Confusion mars my heart once again,
The lightning flashes above me.
Calmed, I look around the empty field.
Grass is blowing, rain falling.
I don’t care, let the lightning hit me.
The rain pours down and washes away my tears;
I curl into a ball on the wet ground and scream my grievances
As the thunder claps its remedies above me.
I finally open my eyes, and take in the rain drenched air,
I think I am at peace.

I love thunderstorms.
I really want a nice roof to sit on.
Stupid slanty roof.

This poem was so powerful for such a short length. I love it. I can relate to it as well. Th epictures painting here are amazing. You can see everything happening in your mind as you read. This is soo expressive as well. I love it.

Haha, I have a "stupid slanty roof" as well. :]
Thunderstorms frighten me, and amaze me simultaneously. They amaze me not only with their raw power, but also with their capability to calm me and make me realize just how powerless I can be. It's a humbling experience, to feel so small and weak. I appreciate life all the more. :]
