The Impact of Economical Change

This poem is written for the unheard voices in the time of inflation, famine and war.

Inflation, economical crisis , hunger and war
Uncertainty knocking at every citizen’s door
Black or white, rich or poor
Economical crisis is knocking hard at our door
Unbiased and not at all racist
Hunger and poverty, Depression and recession
Madness and conflict, violence and unemployment
Crime and uncertainty is everywhere no citizen is guaranteed
Employee’s labouring but are unable to harvest
Banks collecting but are unable to distribute
Prime minister elected but chooses to be selective
This economical crisis is everywhere
Men of power and of great authority chooses to implement war
No one wants to suggest peace or apply change
Greedy and wicked men only want to rearrange
What good leaders and heroes before them had reconstructed and put into place to make this world a better place.

I love this poem because it speaks from truth. It is sad how easily the masses can be manipulated to accept their fate. All because they are ambivalent and easily assuage towards their irrelevance by those in power and entitled by their mass fortunes. An incurious mind is more malleable towards such manipulation than an educated one who yearns and seeks the truth. Art at its most powerful is when it is created from a perspective that embodies principled fact. Excellent work Scarlette.
