The Revolving Door

The Revolving Door

A Poem by Scarlette Howard
"

Sometimes our lives feels like we are stuck in a revolving door.

"
Sometimes I feel like my life is stagnant
Filled with the same old routine
No adventure just work responsibilities quarrels and war
How I desire to find a way out of this revolving door
For I know life is worth so much more
I have to be determined to push my way through the revolving door
I cannot be trapped, I am not a lab rat nor a robot
I was not born or programmed for sports or game
There is a key that I must find
There is a way that I can escape
I can no longer procrastinate or wait
I must be wise and equipped
Strong and knowledgeable on the day of my escape
I must not be anxious fearful or have doubt
Every revolving door has a way out
I must be cunning and smart without a doubt
Patient and sly
Pushing my way through the busy crowd
For every revolving door has a way out
