Shelter

Shelter

A Poem by Scarlette Howard

Sovereign Creator shield those I love
Place your angels around every soul I know
Let your spirit and word restore, deliver, protect and heal
Spirit of Yahusha Hamashiach speak
Let your word return not empty but accomplish your will
Today remove my flesh from the unforeseen realm
Father forgive my selfish ways and tongue that have curse those I love
Yah come and fight for my children, family and me
Remove every demon, deity, spirit and spells that has caused me to be bound
Yah draw near and release the chains their have placed on me
Take these scars and wash me in your love
Mercy, salvation and grace once again
Allow me to give you praise
I AM hold me tight and when things make no sense
Grant me hope so I can give you praise.

Okay, this is your personal "prayer." What makes it a poem? The language isn't poetic, and you aren't making use of prosody. And since it's addressed to a third person who I doubt is a member of this site, it seems more an attempt to impress the reader (or perhaps Jesus) than a communication between you and your deity.

Basically, you're saying, "I don't care what you have planned, this is what I want, which seems more like hubris than prayer.
