Swindler

Swindler

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

It was a cold blustery night
And the gauche peddler was swindling
Everyone who came into his sight
Knowing their pockets were dwindling

He had traveled many nautical miles
With an alliance to only him
He looked kind and was all smiles
But inside his heart it was dark and dim

He wanted only to take money
From the expecting soul
To him, crash, was sweeter than honey
His heart darker and colder than coal
