It was a cold blustery night
And the gauche peddler was swindling Everyone who came into his sight Knowing their pockets were dwindling He had traveled many nautical miles With an alliance to only him He looked kind and was all smiles But inside his heart it was dark and dim He wanted only to take money From the expecting soul To him, crash, was sweeter than honey His heart darker and colder than coal © 2010 Poetic Beauty |
