I collaboration between Crowely and me. Thanks so much for helping with this poem.
Fine
grains of sand blowing in all directions with whipping winds
Blazing fiery sun beating down on fragile supple skin
But watch out for in the desert a snow storm is 'bout to begin
Don't look to the sky boy, your sun all but shining cloaked in mist The
skin on your face tight as new leather hide, see your breath The
shirt on your back thin and sunbleached, watch the first flake settle
Gray ominous
clouds filled with white orbs instead of rain
Green scaly lizards paralyzed from drastic change in climate
For your sultry desert is no longer in perfect alignment
Each new flake brings distant memory of your unsettled mind The
flurry sings regret perched on the tip of your now numb nose This
desert white out a lyrical oxymoron, but so solid, so real
A blizzard has taken over your
back yard along with your soul
The once sandy terrain is now covered in sparkling white
Sucks to be you as the temp drops below thirty tonight
Just when you think it is hot as hell, you are
sure to realize the extreme can be horrible.
When the first flake falls prepare to duck.
Life is about to drop you with 40 below.
"The sultry desert is no longer in perfect alignment."
We should be prepared for the surprise soon as we
think things are here to stay.
Back yard covered in snow, the temp drops below thirty
tonght------Your life has frozen over and you would be so
pleased to see a few snow flakes now, or the terrible heat.
In other words, you have been frozen out and you long
for the good times when you thought life was a drag.
I can see your eyes turning red as you put this curse on him... I guess if you had a voodoo doll you could sprinkle flour over it... anyways I liked it, especially this part...
Each new flake brings distant memory of your unsettled mind
The flurry sings regret perched on the tip of your now numb nose
This desert white out a lyrical oxymoron, but so solid, so real
I know nothing of the snow fall upon deserts sand, but I know this thats written in my hand, often things change, sometimes from within, and we blow cold, at other times hot.
Our changing of hearts and minds, can at times seem unkind, yet we all must do what we can to survive.
Your collaborative efforts have certainly paid off. This is a fabulous description of snowfall in the desert, with so many emotions attached to that juxtaposition. I enjoyed it very much.
First off I'm on here to post my writing to have an outlet for my emotions. You will find a variety of poems. If you like take a moment and stroll through this poets mind.
Secondly be kind to each .. more..
