Weeds

Weeds

A Poem by Lauren

He was regal

with a nameless charm, and

he told me to love the dandelions.

How can I love that which plagues my heart?

I questioned.

Kiss the ground where the ferns are planted

and feed the soil with your aching.

Try as you may,

you will never lose the weeds:

cultivate your riches and

love the dandelions.
