Shades of blue

Shades of blue

A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

tetrameter sonnet

"

Shades of blue.

When twilight falls and night draws near.
Familiar landmarks disappear
into the hazy lazy blue.
which makes you see the world anew.
There is no sign of brown nor green
no other colours to be seen.
The world consists of shades of blue
 from indigo to palest hue.
This is the magic hour when
men are allowed to see again.
The fairy host as they pass by
 in cavalcade across the sky.
I watch them ‘til they fade from view
lost in the ever deepening blue.

This is very pretty. I like the softness of it. It has a peaceful, soft feeling to it. Very well done, my friend.

Very nicely done!! I loved the bounce to the rythm of your rhyme. I enjoyed the descriptions, and the way you painted the picture for your reader to see - in fantastic shades of blue!

I love the thought that a poem about blue should be red. Very creative, you are, and this work is stunningly descriptive, and beautiful. Then, I may be biased, because blue is my favorite color. Every shade of it, except for that grey mess they try to call "Country Blue". :) I do question the grammar here a little:
"This is the magic hour when
men are allowed to see again.
The fairy host as they pass by
in cavalcade across the sky."
Should there be a period separating this, or something else? It seems to me they belong in one sentence, though with a pause. The second part isn't a sentence, but an addendum to the first.
Again, though, wonderful work.

Oh how stunning. Your use of color is delightful. What a wonderful time of day to capture and you have in so few words. Nicely penned. Thank you.
Light,
Siddartha
