Sudden Soaking for New Friend MontyA Poem by Poeticpierssonnet
Sudden Soaking
In the distance thunder rumbling.
Though the sky is cloudless blue
I listen to its subdued grumbling,
as any wise man ought to do.
Summer storms strike suddenly.
When you least expect them to.
Then the rain falls torrentially
as if intent on soaking you.
You wish then, you’d listened to
and not ignored the thunders warning.
As most people tend to do.
There’s little use in your complaining.
Soliciting my sympathy.
You were warned by thunder clearly.
