Stranger in a strange Land.

I stand alone, a sturdy tree though
where I grow I should not be.

Planted here by accident
far from my home The Orient.

A passing bird left me behind
far too far from my own kind.

Fortunately a sheltered spot
which in the summer grows quite hot.

The low green hills which seem to be
 from winter winds protecting me.

What should I do? I did not know
so I continued just to grow.

I put down roots and sent forth shoots.
Though I am doomed to bear no fruits.

A pretty but a barren tree
I have no male for company.

I can’t set fruit without a male.
Although I try my efforts fail.

I am not where I ought to
 be a lonely oriental tree.

Perhaps in time another seed
dropped by a bird will meet my need.

A sturdy male to be my mate
with whom I can cross pollinate

Flourishing though solitary.
I am not where I ought to be.

I smiled. The rhyme scheme is sound.
You wrote:

...A bird can drop seeds two ways. I am glad you immediately direct my attention to bees (perhaps) cross-pollinating a suitable mate.
A poem that adheres to strict parameters. Nice.
