Lord Byron 1788-1824 a tribute

"

Glosa

"

Lord Byron 1788-1824

So we’ll go no more a’roving
so late into the night.
Though the heart be still as loving
and the moon be still a bright.

A glosa

So we’ll go no more a'roving
That need has long since passed.
Our love is strong, needs no proving
Staying together still steadfast.

Though readily we still converse
 so late into the night.
On subjects various and diverse,
to debate is our great delight.

Though the heart be still as loving
 We share our double bed
we have no need to go a'roving
 Lie cuddled close instead

And the moon be still as bright.
We do not need to see
to know we can share delight
where we are happily.

The senses of rhythm and rhyme are tidy and perfect and those have render this worthy tribute a touch of classic. You are no doubt a true poet. truer than many I have read and I must confess re-read. The last line is a shine from heaven. It enlightens this world.
