Marmaduke the marmoset
was not to fussy what he e
One day he ate some chilli beans
which were too hot for his intestines.
A lesson that he won’t forget.
The Jackal is well known to dine
on carrion the lazy swine
He cannot bring himself to kill
or just perhaps he lacks the skill
Leftovers seem to suit him fine.
The Lady made a dreadful fuss
of her pet dwarf rhinocerous.
Like all his kin he had poor sight
and crapped on her one summer night.
Which made her frankly furious?
My Kingdom for a horse he cried
although was to fat too ride.
A shire horse took just one glance
and said no way you have no chance
I disapprove of suicide.
In cold clear streams crayfish abide.
They have to shuffle they can’t glide
They are not built to swim you see
though you might think they ought to be.
But I Still love them boiled or fried.
The Jelly fish around our coasts
are colourless and pale like ghosts.
Their tentacles left dangling
to make it easier to sting .
He dines the best who stings the most.
I had a fine potbellied pig
I fed him well and he grew big
I had him executed then
turned into chops to feed the men.
My wife said this was Infra Dig.
My mother was an Octopus
my father was a giant squid.
I’m what their union produced
It’s no surprise that I’m confused.
It shouldn’t happen but I did.
Hairless Horace was a bear
who was allergic to his hair
He shaved it off so he could be
free from itching incessantly.
He found he could bear being bare.
Oliver the ocelot
was proud of every single spot
that he had on his dappled hide .
Although his sister Lucy tried
to convince him he was not.
