Curiosity Unsatisfied

 

I wonder what the Ancient Greek

 Philosophers would have to say,

 about our modern world today.

Their point of view would be unique.

 

They viewed their world a different way.

Enslaved by our technology

 we have eschewed simplicity.

Complexity rules all today.

 

I rather think that they would find.

Our ways incomprehensible

in many ways less sensible

Than just relying on the mind.

 

I’m sure that very probably.

 They would dismiss our modern ways

 as undeserving of their praise.

 As mere flim flam and trickery..

 

Although they were all clever men.

 Circumscribed by circumstance

they simply would not stand a chance.

The world was very different then.

 

Today’s modern technology

 allows us easy access to

more facts than these men ever knew

At their stage in mans history.

 

Just as the thinkers of today

 would be quite lost in Ancient Greece

Quite different philosophies.

 Their mind sets suited to their day.
