A word to the wise.
The Diamond Back a deadly snake. Gives all fair warning he is there The rattle that his tail can make has just one purpose to declare. I'm dangerous leave me alone. Let me enjoy the morning sun, this is my favourite basking stone. I will vacate it when I'm done I see no cause for argument You have your rights and I have mine. Established by long precedent. Just walk on by and you'll be fine. A wise man heeds and passes by. Accords the Diamond Back respect But foolish men will quickly die because they stupidly reject. The warning rattle which they hear the Diamond Back won't tolerate. A human being coming near One single bite and it's too late. Stick to the well trodden path and even there walk warily. Lest you arouse the serpents wrath and he strikes at you suddenly. I'm not an expert I confess well versed in herpetology. You can't afford to be careless in Diamond Back territory. Most careless folks will wind up dead. for Diamond Backs are merciless. So please take heed of all I've said If you don't know don't try to guess. Regard all snakes as dangerous and do not try to get too close. There is no need to make a fuss You only have one life to lose. Walk quietly and show respect Remember you are just a guest behave the way you would expect a guest would do. You'll find it best. 1-Jan-09 http:// blog.myspace.com/poeticpiers © 2009 Poeticpiers |
