Modern Justice???

The wicked grow rich easily.
The righteous live in poverty.
I do not know why this should be
it is a mystery to me.

They lie and cheat but they succeed.
Their motivation is their greed.
They have it all but still want more
Don't hesitate to break the law.

Whilst honest men obey the laws.
The wicked seek out faults and flaws.
Which they can use to flout the rules.
with Lawyers as their willing tools

If you are rich enough to pay.
Your lawyer's sure to find a way
to prove that you are innocent.
This is the factor I resent.

One law for them one law for use.
It makes me really furious.
It seems to be the modern way
You lose the case if you can't pay.

You speak a mighty truth here. I appreciate your candidness. No matter how much the dishonest seem to get away with, inwardly they are rotting away with intense guilt. They will meet with demise eventually. I can't help but think of O.J. Simpson. He got away with so much in the beginning-but-it caught up with him and now he has to pay the piper for what he did.

This is a wake up call in regards to legal systems and dishonest politicians. What a shame.
