Magnificent Failure
Owen Glendower glowering across the bodies of the slain Was claiming victory again over Henry the English king. Three times he beat him in the field But Henry always came again There was no way that he would yield. His actions made it very plain. Glendower lost eventually Henry enforced his right to rule. His was the final victory At least that's what I was taught at school. Though Wales reveres his memory And few remember King Henry. 27-Jan-09 http:// blog.myspace.com/poeticpiers. © 2009 Poeticpiers |
