Selective Deafness for M'lady EmmaA Poem by Poeticpiersvariant sonnet
Selective deafness
The shameless breeze is whispering to any man who's listening The secret dreams a maid conceals the wind mischievously reveals. The man whose heart she hopes to win Although he's shown no interest, A campaign leading to his conquest He does not know his fate is sealed He will believe she was his choice Despite all that the wind revealed He cannot hear its quiet voice. That he cannot is fortunate Her birthright is to choose her mate. 25-Mar-09 http:// blog.myspace.com/poeticpiers © 2009 Poeticpiers |
