Hot Pursuit

It's true: Some do achieve their cherished dreams
although it's usually by accident.
Despite their clever plots and plans and schemes.
What does it matter if they are content.

For circumstances intervene.
Life's in a constant state of flux
your goals must change as you mature,
Sometimes your dreams are put on hold

When caught up in the ebb and flow of life
at times we still have to go with the flow.
At other times we find we fight against
the flow still in hot pursuit of our dreams.
