And no bird sings for M 'lady Sharon

And no bird sings.

The breeze which rustles in the trees
assisted by the birds and bees
Whose interlacing melodies
produce pastoral symphonies
Which vary as the seasons change
and the musicians re-arrange
the notes to suit their vocal range.
I think it would be very strange
if suddenly there ceased to be.
The music which can set us free
from worries temporarily
and silence reigned; permanently.
The sound of silence echoing
instead of song birds carolling.

nothing rings more clear than the pure sound of a sonnet. Your words worked together and flowed as
one thought. I enjoyed both of your sonnets.

I will just agree with Cherri on this. And your play with words is amazing.

In this case I would have to say that silence would be deafening. Music invokes both emotion and hope. To be without it would be a disaster. This piece has an amazing flow. Well penned.
