What is Truth

What is Truth

A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

Kimo

"

What is truth?

I challenge everything I’ve been told
Moreso, now I’m getting old.
Because I seek the truth.

I am quite certain that my teachers lied
Though I confess I’m satisfied
They thought they spoke the truth.

I am convinced they thought their words were true.
But they had been lied to too
They were not taught the truth

I do not think that they deliberately
decided they would lie to me.
They tried to tell the truth.

Nice one Ivor. A crisp little Kimo with rhyme, perfect.

I like the line "They tried to tell the truth." A strong ending line.

I have never seen a Kimo that rhymed, but since that qualification was not mentioned in the rules, I will not disqualify this fine poem.

What hides the truth? I think so too. Although sometimes the hit the mark.
