Qualifieed by Experience

A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

A poem in tercets

"

Qualified by experience.

The university of life
 does not award fancy degrees.
Nor does it charge tuition fees.

Enrols you automatically
 at birth involuntarily.
Provides the opportunity.

To learn by hard experience.
The lessons that you need to know.
The trials you must undergo.

The challenges you have to face.
Determine if you pass or fail.
What matters is that you prevail.

Pursue your dreams relentlessly.
Success or failure’s up to you
You will receive what you are due.

No more no less than what you’ve earned.
With life experience as your guide
 you face the future qualified.

To over come the obstacles
 which are imposed by circumstance.
At least you have a fighting chance.

Paper degrees don’t guarantee
 that you can face adversity.
 And win hands down defiantly.

Unlike life’s university.
Which teaches you what you can do
 to overcome what troubles you.

High five, to the sentiment of the poem and to the real skill used in bringing it all together so so poetically. Am I the only one that thinks a poem should rhyme??

Spoken as only an ex officer could tell it. All the experience of life dwells in them there lines. The truth of how it is in the jungle we carve a path through.

I hope you get to mix with the young as your story is worth telling.
