Life Review for friend Tate

A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

Sonnet in tetrameter

"

Life review.

When you grow old as you must do
and you look backward to review.
The way that life has treated you
Where you have been, what you’ve achieved.
The blessings given and received.
a great deal more than you believed.
I think you'll find you are impressed
You know you’ve always done your best
and you have earned the right to rest.
No longer part of the rat race
You live your life at your own pace.
Perhaps you can accept with grace
When you conclude your life review.
You’ve done what you were meant to do.

This is really a great reflection of old age to which every body is prone soon or later.I am in my fifteen still I reflect on what I have achieved so far?Am I a successful or failure person etc. This poem is both personal and universal.Great Poeticpiers indeed!
