Half as old as time for Bro Sal

Half as old as time for Bro Sal

A Poem by Poeticpiers

Half as old as time.

Petra carven from the living rock.
A rose red city driven by
attempting to defeat the clock.
but time is silent no reply.
Who knows what glories Petra’s seen
We do not know but we can guess
What festivals there may have been?
to celebrate some new success
When Petra was a city state
which ruled by military might.
 A city which could dominate
Most of its foes without a fight.
A city which I seem to know
 half memories from long ago.

This stirring poem challenges those not having your classic background as I am awed
by its extent. We all can read, learn and enjoy what you write. There must be many
young writers and readers at the cafe who have been encouraged to follow your
example.... and if it was only one, you have succeeded as so few others have been
able to do.
