Hooked.

 

I’m sure, deprived of poetry

descent into insanity

would follow.Inevitably

It is my prime necessity

 

Poetry is my drug of choice.

Without it I would have no voice

 either to lament or rejoice.

 

For I depend on poetry

 to validate that I am me.

 

I am addicted hopelessly.

I see it as group therapy like the Jehovah witnesses i know Their groups meet to tell bad stories of their lives each week .And for one moment the dispossessed of the flock have an audience like American idol It was clear to me they were addicted to the fame and recognition it gave them however fleeting.But they had to confess that they weren't perfect and then all of them with a collective "AWE!!!! said we relate to you so well Lol

Poetry can heal.. it can uplift and allow ventation.. it allows others to also relate both emotionally and creatively. There are so many views on it.. I believe it flows from the heart but can also be painted by the mind.. writing can be done in full spectrum.. it can alieve, relieve and achieve with make believe... it can also deceive.. only the writer can know if something is written from the heart or in creativity... but it's truly addicting but also pacifying.. so much better than other damaging addictions.. and it truly could help one or two out there!
