He Meant Well

My husband said he thought I should

adapt to new technology.

He was quite certain that I could.

I did enthusiastically

I learnt computing suited me

 and quickly found I understood.

Computer jargon easily

Completely changed my attitude.

I owe a debt of gratitude.

The internet has given me

the chance to join the multitude

of other folks who chat for free.

About our common interests.

I get engrossed and I forget

to cook his meals: Then he protests

 loudly and vociferously.

He claims h’s suffering neglect.

He only has himself to blame

he introduced me to the net

But thought his life would stay the same.

He finds it difficult of course.

 That I prefer the internet

to doing boring household chores.

What did the silly fool expect.

my husband would empathize very much . . . I gave up cooking for writing poetry, I gave up doing the dishes for talking to people about writing poetry, I gave up laundry for reading the poetry that other people write . . . I am quite content in my newer 'chores' :)

lol We have to keep a balance or WE ALL look like silly fools. No woman is a fool to prefer household chores though!lol

I am sure Tigra appreciates this little dity, I know I do. They say depressed people use the Internet (Latest headlines) but I say, depressed people use the Net to get away from the rest, who detest!lol The day the internet depresses moi! I am off.

Smiling at you

Tai
