Proof Positive

A poem

 

Proof positive.

 

I can’t recall the accident. Nor did I know the full extent.

Of injuries that I received. I only know that I believed

I had been spared for some reason. There was some task which needed done.

A task which was reserved for me.I would recover completely.

Although my doctors disagreed they were convinced that I would need.

Constant care just to survive. Yet here I am proof positive

 That doctors sometimes get it wrong, I’m eighty five and going strong.

Doctors spend too much time telling people how and when to die, in my opinion Ivor! I believe in miracles. So glad you survived. Hope is everything. Doctors should learn to always keep hope in sight. Only god know when it is our time, and as you state here so elequently, there is always a reason to stay and finish what we are put here to finish.
