Rebellious for My fellow writers

Rebellious for My fellow writers

A Poem by Poeticpiers

Rebellious.

Though authors create characters.

They’re not always obedient.

Refuse to do what we prefer

and show us they are discontent.

Somehow or other they decide.

They will control their destinies

and set their authors will aside.

 Quite often with surprising ease

The author’s forced to recognise

The children of his mind can grow.

Successful authors realise

That they do not always know.

Just what their characters can do

Denying our authority

As if they were entitled to

Improve upon our fantasy.

The characters that we create

Take on an independent role

And by their actions demonstrate

We are no longer in control.

They choose to go their own sweet way.

At least I find it to be so.

I must believe it come what may

It seems they know more than I know.

Very lovely, and true! I agree with you on the roles with play in our societies and how critical they are just as critical as the decisions we take !

Very honest and expressive one mate.
