Shadow play

Shadow play

Shadow play

Weak sunlight filters through the leaves

and quite surprisingly achieves

A greater visual effect

than for one moment you expect.

Creating shadows here and there.

Moving independently,

or so it seems: but if you stare.

 All movement ceases instantly

You know that what you think you see

is pure imagination

You are quite certain it must be

 an optical illusion.

Yet from the corner of your eye

 you see them moving stealthily.
