It's worth a try

It’s worth a try.

 

If I should win the lottery.

I have no doubt that it would be

A very great surprise to me

Although I’m old I hope to see

 the numbers coming up for me.

Perhaps they will eventually

But until then I can but dream

Its fun to plot and plan and scheme

The very thought makes my eyes gleam.

Because I could afford to do

 Most anything I wanted to.

Fulfil my dreams both old and new

It’s possible it could come true.

Although it’s most unlikely to.
