Outward appearances can decieve

Outward appearances can decieve

A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

sonnet in tetrameter

"

Outward appearances can deceive.

In public I appear to be

the man in charge quite definitely.

At home she tells me what to do

and she insists I do it too.

I let her think she’s in control .

A quiet life my only goal.

I do whatever must be done.

I treat odd jobs as being fun.

I like to cook and so I do

but not because she tells me to

I’m not too proud to vac the floor

I do know what the dish mops for.

We share the chores out equally

that’s why we live in harmony.

What an adorable write.
Oh the bane of it all !!
Personally...I think doing housework should be outlawed and we all should take to the streets in vigorous protest against the horrors of it!
I'll meet you out the front....say 2.30...that should give us enough time to get the dusting done before we go...lol
