Outward appearances can decieveA Poem by Poeticpierssonnet in tetrameterOutward appearances can deceive. In public I appear to be the man in charge quite definitely. At home she tells me what to do and she insists I do it too. I let her think she’s in control . A quiet life my only goal. I do whatever must be done. I treat odd jobs as being fun. I like to cook and so I do but not because she tells me to I’m not too proud to vac the floor I do know what the dish mops for. We share the chores out equally that’s why we live in harmony.
