Night prowlers forM'Lady Cattie

Night prowlers.

The silence of the night was broken by

a sound which I could not identify.

Although I knew I should investigate.

I hesitate and choose instead to wait.

I must confess to being cowardly,

But them my conscience bothers me.

I have no choice I have to go and see

what made the sound which awakened me.

I creep downstairs very quietly

Switch on all the lights so I can see.

This is the sight which greeted me.

The floor littered with broken pottery.

The guilty cat regards me with disdain.

It seems my bravery was in vain.
