I still do.

I still do.

A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

silly sonnet

"

.

I still do.

I say Phoebe do not force it.

It won’t fit inside your corset

Thos roll of fat that wobble so

are adamant they will not go.

I have no choice it must be said.

You’re not the slender girl I wed.

You’ve put on weight and quite a bit

that’s why your corset will not fit.

Your life long love of fish and chips

it seems has all gone to your hips

It doesn’t really bother me.

Though other folks may disagree.

It only means there’s more of you

for me to love and I still do.

You can really get the sense of an upfront but unconditional love.

Nice piece of work, I must say. Filled with humor as well as the emotions for the everlasting love for your dearest. Enjoyed it.

The lines "I have no choice,it must be said" and "It doesn't really bother me" give a confused, oxymoronic touch to the sonnet. The last few lines are a treat for a person you love.

You know it better.

Excellent Poem and funny too. Your classical side shows through. Well done.

It kinda reminds me of this shakespeare poem we once read in English class about how love isnt skin deep. This is beautiful.

Wow! I loved the story/poem, but you have to be such a sweetie to say such wonderful things about your aging love. Love seems to overlook more and more, as we grow older. I never realized, when I was young, that a wrinkle can add character to a face or that a gray hair can shimmer more eloquently than a blonde.

A sweet tooth of a read Ivan. It reminds me of the proverb, If wishes were fishes, we'd all be down the chip shop!lol It seems your Mrs obviously had a lot of wishes. She is a lucky woman.

Smiling at you

Tai
