Tweaks.

 

We cannot stem the flow of time.

Today will soon be yesterday.

When the twelve strokes of midnight chime.

It passes into history

Tomorrow may not come at all.

Today is all that we can know

Although sometimes we can recall

The golden days of long ago.

Rose tinted glasses let us see.

The distant past in soft focus

The way we think it ought to be

.Somewhat more favourable to us.

Our memories can rearrange.

The past events we cannot change.
