Those who can: Do

 

Every sonnet which I write.

I edit and I do my best

 to get the rhyme and meter right.

Submit it to the acid test.

If read aloud its sounds alright.

Then the critics can’t protest.

Though some will do so out of spite

Convinced that only they are right

Their jealously won’t let them rest.

They criticise but cannot write.

They can’t admit they are obsessed

Because they lack ability

to create their own poetry.
