Wasted effort.

 

I did not think I’d ever see

 an elephant climb up a tree.

Though anything is possible

 I did not think it probable

Though I have seen it on TV

The advert  is shown frequently.

 A graphic that’s done cleverly.

It seems to be reality.

Although I don’t know what it’s for

To me most adverts are a bore.

Though this advert appeals to me

It fails its purpose completely.

Because I do not recognise.

What it is meant to advertise.

Another fine poem. I often wonder what the purpose of a lot of commercials are these days. They seem to make no sense as compared to the product they're selling. I suppose it's all subliminal or something. Great poem. I enjoyed it.
