Regrets I can’t forget

 

Sometimes at night I cannot sleep

When the silent hours seem to creep

 more slowly than they ought to do.

I have no choice but to review

 

Mistakes I made along the way

Which left me lonely here today

My jealousy drove you away.

 

You left me as you said you would

 and when you left you left for good.

 

I should have trusted but did not.
