Rose growers lament for M'lady Emma.A Poem by Poeticpierssonnet in tetrameterRose growers Lament. A new hybrid experiment. Its crimson petals tipped with gold. A perfect rose or so I’m told. But not for me it has no scent. Its stems are smooth and elegant without sharp thorns to catch and hold A perfect rose or so I’m told But not for me it’s scent I want. I aim to breed the perfect rose With crimson petals tipped with gold Which gives you pleasure to behold and scent to captivate your nose. Though beautiful, without a scent, another failed experiment.
