Fatal Error for M'lady MegalOmaniacA Poem by Poeticpiersstory poem in rhyming quatrains iambic pentameterFatal error. 2010 A squirrel scampers carelessly across the grass from tree to tree. A hungry fox lying in wait is certain that it’s time he ate He has no doubt he has the right to satisfy his appetite. The squirrel might think otherwise but he ignores all good advice. He has been told repeatedly. Do not stray too far from a tree. For trees are where your safety lies But he forgot that’s why he dies. The squirrel’s dead, the fox is fed. There’s little more needs to be said. I just record what I observed the squirrel died as he deserved. The forest is no place for fools who disregard the safety rules. The laws that Mother Nature makes do not allow for your mistakes. Friday, 01 October 2010 http:// blog.myspace.com/poeticpiers. © 2010 Poeticpiers |
