Free wheeling

Free wheeling

A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

Nonsense perhaps

"

Free wheeling.

Must vicars live vicariously?

Do priest enjoy celibacy?

These are the questions which arise

when I sit back and close my eyes.

I’m not a fool I realise

that such questions are not wise

I know my mind is making game

But I enjoy it all the same.

Maybe I feel subconsciously

a daily dose of idiocy.

Is greatly to my benefit.

I am certain that I enjoy it.

If you sit back and free your mind

I have no doubt that you will find

 stupidity relieves your stress

 a daily dose of silliness.

Could be the finest therapy

that you can find and it is free.

I think that life should not be

always taken seriously.

Though you may doubt my sanity

 and question the validity

of humour as a therapy.

I do not care it works for me.

You can just tell poetry from well balanced, mature people who have been about and are wiser for it. Idle pondering of matters worldly! What could be better? No vile celebrity or hand wringing loves lost, or "I am in pain stuff" here. Just quality, quality and quality. More modern Burns! Me English Macgonacal
