Exchange of views.

 

My study window overlooks.

A grove of well grown Elm trees,

 which house a colony of Rooks.

It is a closed community.

Sometimes I set aside my books.

I find that it relaxes me,

 to sit and watch the busy Rooks.

A tightly run society.

I’d rather study Rooks than books

 and take each opportunity.

To watch the rooks exploring nooks

When I realise quite suddenly.

That the rooks are watching

me with avid curiosity.
