Fruitful discussion

 

I do not care for argument.

Although I’m happy to debate.

I know your views are different

That much I can appreciate.

 

You see the world through your own eyes

 and form your own conclusions.

I sometimes find to my surprise.

 

That it is easy to agree.

Something that really pleases me.

 

I see no need for argument.

if by argument you mean an exchange of ideas where it becomes personal attacks and feelings get hurt, i totally agree with you. but there's little i enjoy more than a good argument with a friend where there is mutual respect and the knowledge that no matter how conflicting our views may be, the disagreement is never personal. those are the types of conversations where i actually am able to learn things and maybe even change my mind about things.
