Impossible dream for M'lady Poppy

Impossible dream for M'lady Poppy

A Poem by Poeticpiers

Impossible dream.

Methinks thou art more beautiful

than human eyes have right to see.

Thy beauty cast a spell on me.

Each time I see thee I am full.

Of dreams I know cannot come true

Because I am of low estate.

I try my hardest not to show.

Although I would not hesitate

But fate decreed that thou should be

As far above me as a star

So I must love thee secretly

 Condemned to worship from afar.

If I were rich then I would be

Allowed to voice my love for thee

Another good one!! I'm so glad Tate posted his poem about you that led me to your writings, and I wish I had time to sit here and continue reading. Alas, the chores of Christmas preparation demand my attention today, but I look forward to coming back and reading more. I really enjoyed this lovely, sad piece.

This is so very sweet, tender and dreamy! The wanting for your beauty from afar...she must be the brightest star in the sky. Wonderful write!
