The Ladies: God bless them.

The Ladies: God bless them.

The ladies God bless them.

There was a maid named Jezebel.

Upon whom great disaster fell.

She thought she’d found the perfect lover

Only later to discover.

Fifteen others did as well.

A Greek Goddess called Minerva

overcome by passions fervour.

Stooped to take a human lover.

When finally the fun was over

Found he wasn’t worthy of her.

Salome of the seven veils

according to the bible tales,

Danced for John the Baptists head

Perhaps that’s why it’s often said.

Men should be wary of all females.

Elizabeth the virgin queen.

Although it’s true she might have been.

History hints that she was not

But these hints are best forgot

 to keep her reputation clean.

The iron lady Margaret Thatcher.

Was quite sure no man could match her.

Eventually to her dismay

Her erstwhile friends soon found a way

when they wanted to despatch her.

I rate Jane Austen as a bore.

Although I know her fans adore.

The wordy tales she used to write.

As of course they have the right.

But thankfully she writes no more.
