A Poem by Poeticpiers

nonce sonnet

Content.

Nonce sonnet.

When I survey the wondrous view

that I can see from my front door.

The moors that sweep down to the sea.

There’s no where else I’d rather be.

Whatever fate may have in store

I will remain forever true.

To the dream I have long pursued

To find the peace and quietude.

Tranquillity to soothe my soul

Far from the haunts of other men.

My heart is filled with gratitude

I revel in the solitude

I do not think I’ll move again

Because I have attained my goal.

Hmm, Makes me think, I think...I love this. Love the word "quietude"
Very nicely said and done.

I can only hope for such gratitude and longing for a place to call home. I like this for as many reasons as the work talks about in the view from your front door. Tkhe image is wonderful and far reaching. I lived in England for 10 years and miss it very much. So I do follow your work very closely. Great Job.
