Absolute Certainty

Absolute Certainty

A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

just as it comes

"

Absolute certainty.

God bless this house and those that dwell therein.

May peace and plenty be their lot always

Not only them but all their kith and kin

And my blessing last them all their days

Always mindful of other peoples needs

They are prepared to lend a helping hand

Not only with kind words but with kindly deeds

Perhaps because they truly understand.

I will remember my time as their guest

A close knit warm and happy family

A welcome rest as I pursued my quest

I left their happy home reluctantly.

My blessings said I bade them all farewell.

With nothing but the sunlight for my load

In my mind I heard a distant bell

The time had come to take my lonely road.

Although I know not what I hope to find

I know I must continue with my quest

It could be that I seek peace of mind.

Perhaps my journey is the final test

That I must pass to validate the choice.

I freely made to undertake alone

This quest; if that is so I will rejoice

In due course I shall know as I am known.

But until I reach my destination

Whatever and wherever that may be.

I look forward in anticipation

To the warm welcome which awaits me.

With nothing but the sunlight for my load...what a beautiful line.
The entire poem flows with wonderful beats set perfectly. And
I loved the description of home and the desire to travel/no easy conflict.
