Pointless exercise?

The world is full of mysteries

Puzzles which I try to solve

Although with limited success

I think that very probably

It helps my brain cells to evolve

 and rids me of the excess stress

Which clings to me determinedly

Making sure I can’t resolve

The problems more or less resolve.

Would I be wiser to abstain?

Yes.
