Shadow dancers fo Friend GregA Poem by Poeticpierspoets in triplets iambic tetrameterShadow dancers. Silver moonbeams weave webs of light Creating shadows as they flow. Fluidly from tree to tree. The pictures which they paint delight. The human eye although we know They exist momentarily. A beauty only seen by night. A swiftly changing picture show. Which few are privileged to see. Shadows depend on the moonlight. Without the moonlight they would go Back to invisibility. Absorbed by darkness of the night. The shadows still exist although. Without the moon no one would know. But when the moon is shining bright. She sets the shadows free to go About their pursuits silently. But come the dawn and broad daylight The shadows know it’s time to go. If only temporarily. The day will end and then the night. Lit by the moonlight will allow the shadows to dance playfully
