White Headstones

White Headstones

White Headstones.

In serried ranks white gravestones stand.

Like well drilled soldiers on parade

As if awaiting some command.

Beneath each stone dead soldiers lie.

For liberty they fought and died.

To se the captive peoples free.

But death is never satisfied.

Beneath each stone dead soldiers lie.

Each soldiers death a tragedy.

All part of one great sacrifice.

Yet here the lie collectively.

Beneath each stone dead soldiers lie.

Some date back to the Great War

A lesson we refused to learn.

The second war created more.

Beneath each stone dead soldiers lie/

I wonder if we’ll ever see.

There is no point in waging war

 and live together peacefully.

So no more soldiers need to die

and lie beneath a white headstone.

In foreign lands beneath the sky.

I believe this does justice for not having to wage war. I found small little problems that made the flow jumpy. In th4e sixth line I believe you meant to use "SEE" instead of "SE" and in the 11th line you meant to use "They" instead of "The". Being a retired military man this holds special interest for me. I like it a lot and will post it on my wall of Honor.
