My Treasure,

My Treasure,

My Treasure.

Harrishma rhyme

6      linerhymed stanza

The last letter of the first word of each line

Becomes first letter of the first word of next line

Rhyme patter ab ab ab.

Soft words of love I can create.

To tell you of the way I feel.

Only you could change my fate

Your love for me which you reveal.

Reality not fantasy.

You are my treasure none can steal.

Before we met I was alone.

Each day was very much the same.

Hard to adapt living on my own.

Dare I choose to play the game?

Expecting that all chance had gone

Gaining new love a futile aim.

But fate had other plans for me.

It was decreed that we should meet.

Totally unexpectedly.

When you came and took a seat

Not expecting you would be

The girl to make my life complete.

Even now though we have been wed

Nearly not quite seven years.

You are the dream that I repressed.

Your love has banished all my fears.

Reminding me that I am blessed

Growing old with you my dear.

The scheme and the flow of the work justify the Harrishma rhyme but it can sometimes varrie. Your forth line of the last stanza does not follow the pattern yet it makes for a better rhyme in my opion. Again this type scheme is more a guide than a formate and for that it is worth every effort to use. I feel that it is the second word in each line of each stanza that hold the entire work together. Great write.
