Gogyoka

 

Japanese form five line stanza. line breaks depend on natural breathing pattern.

 

I can think.

There fore I am

If I could not

I would not be.

Q.E.D

 

What I believe

May not be true

I have no proof

No more have you

Why argue

 

It is possible

Not highly probable.

Unlikely I must agree

That does not mean

It cannot be.

 

I saw you.

You did not see me

Synchronicity

 or coincidence.

A non event.

 

I am intrigued

By oriental poetry

You have aroused my interest

Yet another form

I have to try.

 

I came across the Japanese form almost by accident
